ADP Employease helps more than 1,500 organizations redefine how they manage employee information to improve HR, benefits, and payroll processes.

Challenge

Employease co-founder and chief technology officer John Alberg was looking for an easy-to-use, secure tool that would enhance data analysis and reporting capabilities for his customers. "Our expectations were extremely high," said Alberg, "Because any tool we chose was going to be used by customers, not our internal staff. And human resource departments have a history of pain when it comes to getting the data they need out of non-web-based systems."

Solution

PivotLink gave Employease the scalability they wanted without having to re-engineer their database as new customers brought in higher volumes and different types of data. Alberg also had complete confidence in what he calls the "drill-down security" of the data. And because PivotLink is a Web-based solution, Employease can apply the same internet security technologies that they use for their own services.

Ease of use was also a strong point in PivotLink's favor. "Our customers can sort on the fly, filter data, change columns, customize information - without having to learn SQL coding. It's all point and click.

Results

"PivotLink is terrific, so flexible. People can use it in whatever way they want. A merchandising clerk may only need it to check one thing a day; the senior VP of merchandising, who does heavy analysis, might look at inventory turns, inventory levels, and gross margin return on investments; and our replenishment team uses PivotLink to track sales trends and demand so they can make better buying decisions."
