Press/Analyst Inquiries: Scot French, 206-579-9038, scotf@PivotLink.com Former Postini CEO Quentin Gallivan Named CEO of PivotLink SEATTLE - May 13, 2008 - PivotLink, the leading provider of business analytics delivered as Software as a Service (SaaS), today announced the appointment of Quentin Gallivan as president and CEO. Former CEO Frank Fulton, who lead the company during the leadership search process, returns to his role as senior vice president of operations and services. Before joining PivotLink, Gallivan served as CEO at Postini where he grew the company to over 35,000 customers and 10 million users in 25 countries. Gallivan led the acquisition of Postini by Google for $625M in September 2007. Prior to Postini, Gallivan served as executive vice president of worldwide sales and services at VeriSign, where he was responsible for the design and execution of the global distribution strategy for the company's security and services business. Gallivan also held a number of key executive and leadership positions for Netscape and GE Information Services. “Quentin's deep understanding of the SaaS business model, his demonstrated ability to scale globally and simultaneously enhance service excellence, and his proven organizational and leadership qualities make him the ideal candidate,” said Frank Fulton. “The opportunity to improve our team with a leader of Quentin's background, experience, and track record is game changing.” Gallivan selected PivotLink because of it's unique technology platform, position in the market place, and the clear demand for a SaaS solution in the $6.25 Billion Business Intelligence space, as reported by IDC for 2006. “The traditional Business Intelligence space is ripe for the transformation to an alternative SaaS approach by providing companies the benefit of dynamic business intelligence at a fraction of the cost with implementation in a matter of days versus months. PivotLink's innovative technology and unprecedented price / performance and time to value will be as transformative to Business Intelligence as Salesforce.com was to the Customer Relationship Management space,” said Gallivan. “The opportunity for business intelligence to dramatically grow is held within the business and using the software as a service business model as the means to deliver the information and visibility is available with PivotLink today,” said Mark Smith, CEO and executive vice president of research at Ventana Research. “Hiring Quentin Gallivan as the new CEO will bring a wealth of experience and knowledge to PivotLink allowing it to grow and become a key player in the business intelligence market.” About PivotLink Corp. |
